Our clients were looking for a complete renovation of their house – externally at the front and rear, along with a new extension and internal improvements.The first floor extension ran from above the garage at the front all the way to the back of the house. A full refurbishment inside included a complete rewire, new heating system throughout, renovation of the existing family bathroom and new plastering and painting.

Landscaping of the garden was also required, including the installation of a new timber decking, patio and turfing.A new block paved driveway was also laid that extended down the side of the housde and into the garden.

EXTENSION

A first floor extension above the existing garage that ran from the front of the house to the back

TIMBER FRAMING

The timber frame formed the structure of the first floor renovation above the garage.

RENOVATION

Internal and external renovations including a complete rewiring, tiling, creation of a deck and new turf.

BLOCK PAVING

Clearing the existing driveway before laying a new block pave driveway.

Project Phase 1: Preparation

New structural foundations were required to the rear of the extension in the form of piles and rings beams due to the mains drain running along the rear of the garden.

Project Phase 2: First Floor and Rear Extension

After stripping the existing garage roof, we inserted steelwork to support the new second storey cavity walls. New floors and roofs were constructed by our carpenters who did a create job on a complicated structure.

Project Phase 3: Internal Alterations

Inside the house we completed a full rewire and fitted a new heating system. New plastering, painting, wall & floor tiling, batrooms suites and floor coverings were also copleted during this phase of the renovation.

Project Phase 4: External Alterations

Outside, we built a new deck so you could step out onto a level platform with steps leading to the lawn area. Shaped walls were built to give the garden some character. To finish off a new blocked paved driveway was laid which continued to the side of the house and garden.
